JPT Conducts Field Tests with Tandem Regulator Valves System for Surface Polymer Injection Control

“JPT is currently evaluating and conducting several field tests of the surface polymer injection control module using the patented tandem regulator technique with expansion chambers or dampers as part of the Tandem Regulator Valves system. The tests demonstrate an effective and economical solution for injection fields in wells with only one open zone that require surface flow and pressure control depending on the specific conditions of each well. Tests show that flow rates as low as 50 BFPD (6 CM) up to approximately 5,000 BFPD (600 CM) can be controlled. Polymer damage is a function of the orifice size, flow rate, and differential pressure required.
