Testing and development of equipment for polymer injection control is still going on
Initial tests have shown a reduction in damage of up to 50% respect to original design, even in high salinity and smooth slopes, increasing the capacity to control higher flow rates.
The response is being tested in special side pocket modular mandril designed for polymers. It was previously observed that standard water injection side pocket mandrels induce damage of 20-30% as initial base line plus the damage related to the valve itself.
